Sadness

Guess what? I opted out of the skit. Psch. Kinda feeling bad. I really wanted to do it. But somethings you just know won't work out in the long run... And this was one of those things...

I thought there was too much that was left to do in too less time...Leaving that aside, even after a month's practice there would be no guarantee that the skit would be performed..So thought I'd rather take part in a dance which won't take as much time and which will happen for sure.

:( Still feeling bad though..I wanted to do it.......

As you've said earlier, anything in the long run makes it boring. I guess it's the same with ur skit.

Thank you for your comment on my blog btw.

Interesting blog you have here...

Don't feel bad about it, may be remembering the thought of "Looking in to somebody's eyes as though you are deep in Love" should help you :)

@ Sarat: It wasn't the same with my skit actually. I wasn't bored yet and still left the skit.
@ Anony: In fact that should make me feel worse, right?! He's gonna be looking into someone else's eyes now :( :P Haha. That wasn't the point anyway. I really wanted to act..

Hmm, there were 2 choices here, either continue your new passion and follow your heart or because of time constraints be practical and decide not to. You chose the latter. You may ask, why can't we have situations in which we are allowed to do passionate things giving enough time? very few have that privelage my friend :)

If I were in your position, I would pick the one I love the most. In this case, act. The reason being that it would take a month to practice and this is the fun part. Performing on stage is also important but that's a short period, 5-10 min.

Anony1: Nobody has that much freedom I think. You can't do what you want, without facing the after-effects.

Anony2: You would take a month to practice, that's the fun part and all. But to what end? If you know it's not going anywhere, why would you want to waste your time on it? It was a complex optimization problem with constraints of time, priorities, interests and goals. In this case, the goal was to put in efforts and perform on stage. I finally chose what suited me best I guess.
