Love love love!!!

Romantic or spontaneous? Some question I'd seen online, a quality you'd want in your husband. I think I'm spontaneous. So I wouldn't want the same thing in my husband.

On the other hand the guy who sits next to me in the office is damn romantic. I mean he's 70+ years old and calls his wife atleast thrice a day! All you guys out there take a lesson from here. He doesn't have a low voice so I can't help but hear him. :)
Some of things off the top of my head
"Hi!! I just called to say I was thinking of you" Woohoo! :)
"Hey sweetheart, do you want to go out for lunch with me. You decide where, we'll go to one of your favourite restaurants"
"Hi. Sorry I missed your call! Called as soon as I saw that you'd called. I miss you sweetheart."

It amazes me to see him so much in love. I mean at this age.
I can't imagine my grandparents being like this. Maybe they are, but aren't very vocal about it. But once my dad becomes a granddad, I can imagine him being all that..He recently said something in front of mom's dad. Grandpa was totally shocked. :))
Aaj bohot romantic mood mein ho kya baat hai.

It is true.
Love makes the world go round! :)

Love

I love animals. Especially dogs! To death. I know fore sure I will have atleast one dog in our house if not more..
Also, the size doesn't matter. (Pun unintended)
Little puppies are adorable. I mean who in the world hates puppies? Actually I do know someone who hates "puppies", but then I think she's just trying to "be different". Bleh. Things people do to get attention!
Anyway, so this was about dogs!

Everytime I passed this house beside ours, I had to stop by and play with their dog..They usually tied him out for an hour everyday and he would sit around in the yard waiting for people to stop by. I made it a point to play with him everyday, even if it meant taking a longer route! My day would turn infinitely brighter. :) I forget his name now though. Gah, have to do something about my memory!

These dogs below look kinda scary on first sight, but they were so friendly! Don't know how they take care of not one, but two such huge dogs! Taking care of such dogs can be quite a task. The amount of food, the amount of exercise, all becomes extremely important. Point in case is our dog back home. We didnt take her for walks regularly and now she's enormous! But that doesn't stop us from loving her as much as we do. My sis is trying to correct that now- taking her for regular walks and all..But then she was also pregnant sometime back. So we shall not be too harsh on her.

Darlings

This is my tired, fat but adorable lovey-dove :

How I miss you!
And her kids: :)
Labrador Pups
On the same lines (not really) please avoid travelling in horse-drawn carriages! It's like making a baby give you a piggy-ride. It is painful to watch them :(

I mean after so many modes of transportation available, why do you have to travel by a horse-cart? Buy a car, take a bus. Ride a bicycle or just walk! Spare the animals please!

Cute little things that you do for me

I randomly came across these pictures here yesterday and thought they deserve some publicity. These are some of my favourites:

Sweet Oranges. A cozy nice home. And the sweetest husband. What more does a girl need.

Good Morning hun!

Honey you're home! Meow.Woof woof.

Aww. The perfect fit!

Mommy feelings

You know what? I think I am ready to have babies. Yeah, I'm not married but the funny thing is, I don't have the urge to get married - that idea is almost repulsive, but I would love to have kids of my own. But since one is dependent on the other, I don't really have a choice.

Went to a colleague's house yesterday. She has two kids aged 4 and 2 and I was with the 4-year-old girl most of the time I was there. It felt so good to carry her around- when kids cling onto you, isn't it the best feeling in the world? I had this warm feeling in my chest and didn't want to put her down, but after a while it got tiring. So then I kept her engaged, talking to her. How cute they are when they hold on to your hair. And talk in that nonsensical kid chatter which even though doesn't make sense, is so sweet to the ears. But, It is quite a task keeping them engaged, making sure they don't fall. They are so prone to accidents, no matter how much you try, you can't really avoid them. All mom feelings swept over me.
Are there other girls who feel this way to? I'm 23, so I guess it's natural to have these feelings. Or are my feelings pre-mature?
By the way, does this happen to guys? Do you guys feel the urge have kids when you  are single? At what age does that happen, if it ever does?

Surprise. Surprise!

Totally unexpected day:

During the break that we get at the place where I work at, I was talking to my co-worker. Young kid. (19 I think) I was asking him about sororities and fraternities and stuff. Then we had run out of things to talk about, so I asked him how his love life was advancing. (He had mentioned earlier that he was trying, but he didn't know where it was going) So just to make conversation I asked him if she came and ate at the food court we worked at. He was like, "they don't come here" . Hint HINT! I was supposed to understand, but I didn't get it. Then I was like, "What, you like two girls is it?" Then he goes No... And then Indian mentality no, I thought maybe he didn't want people sitting behind us to overhear that we were talking about somebody he loved and that's why he used plurals instead of a "she". But, turned out to be totally unexpected.
He: I'm gay.
Me: Oh. I am so sorry for not understanding.
He: That's ok, I hadn't mentioned it so a lot of people would assume it would be a she.
Me: (Curiosity full peak levels. It was the first time ever that I spoke to somebody who was differently oriented.)
Is it ok if I ask you questions. I am just curious..
He: Yeah it's fine.
Me: So how did you first know that you weren't interested in girls?
He: Back in the fifth-sixth grade when all the guys used to like girls, I never felt anything for them. I liked the guys.
Me(Hmm. So it starts off from when they're kids... Interesting) So you're not even Bi?
He: No. As much as my older brothers wished that to be true, it is not. I've never been out with a girl.
Me: Oh, so your family knows?
He: Yeah they do.
Me: Oh. That's nice. You know, I never thought you'd not like girls. I mean it didn't seem like that at all..
He: Yeah, it is very difficult even for me to know if people are gay or not. A lot of people who you'd expect to be gay are actually not, and a lot of them who you think wouldn't be, actually are gay.
Me: So how are you going about looking for people?
He: There is an organization on -campus, but I haven't joined it, I don't like it.
Me: Oh, that long-haired guy is a part of it right? (There's this guy who is openly gay- Wears t-shirts which say, "Gay? Fine by me" in different colors everyday)
He: Yeah, he is. But they're all activists, which I am not. So it becomes all the more difficult for me to try and figure out who's gay and approach them.
Me. Yeah.

Our break was over and we had to get back to work..

It was kinda awkward, but it wasn't that hard to accept. In fact I kinda felt bad for him. First he had to figure out who is gay. Then he has to find someone who'd complement his personality! Finding the right one has such a minimal chance in this case.

My friends and I had had this conversation long back. When we were kids, almost.
"What if it your kid turns out to be homosexual? Would you disown him/her? "
One of the guys was like, No. I'd accept him. And that guy immediately went off my potential to-be-husbands list. I was shocked with his liberal thinking. But now I think differently. I don't know what I'd do, but I know for sure that I don't have such a rigid point of view anymore..
Time changes you...nay?

Btw, what would you do if your kid turns out to be homosexual?

Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants ;)

Remember in one of my previous posts I wrote I am going farther away from everyone as each day passes by? Turns out, every problem has a quick-fix solution. Except of course if it is of the NP-Hard variety. No matter which part of the world you are in, the heart to heart connection is just a phone call away! I usually speak to Mom for about 10 mins everyday. But last night it went on for about an hour And then spoke to my sis. I think I found my best friend for life yesterday.

There was a point in life when I wouldn't share anything with her. That happened because, I once told her a couple of things and she was like,I'll go tell Mom and Dad wait! :)) Who would want to share anything with such a kid? So  from that point on, we only spoke about impersonal stuff and the gap between us widened.

Somehow yesterday we got talking and went on for a couple hours. All the biggest, darkest secrets of our lives came tumbling out. Some were shocking. Some funny. But whatever it was that we shared, both of us felt the gap close. And THAT people, is the best feeling in the whole wide world.

We're both so different in so many ways, yet we share so many common things. (Common parents for one. :P ) But on a more serious note, both of us hate it when someone we talk to, maybe just an acquaintance, goes and talks about us to others. We wouldn't do that to others. And expect the same from them.
We don't talk that much, although the degree varies- she's of the extreme variety-keeps mum most of the times whereas I only talk to certain people.

Sisters have similar tastes in clothes? Don't know, but we do. And it doesn't match with the other set of cousins that we have.

Just remembered something. I sometimes hate eating Rice. But was forced to eat it every morning. (This was when I was in the third grade and she didn't go to school yet. ) Mom wasn't looking and I put all my stuff in her plate. Paap she had to eat her stuff + mine. Some random memory. Feels nice now that I think of it. :)

On this note, listen to Evanescence. Or something else. Your wish ba! :D
P.S. : The title is the name of a movie she once loved.

The Art of Acting

Gahaha. Not that I have a lot of knowledge over the topic. But I am beginning to realize it is not as easy as it seems. Portraying your emotions in front of an audience and making them feel what you are feeling is a HUGE task. Trust me.
All this gyaan I'm giving out coz I just started acting in a play/skit which is a love story. How it began and continues..Your typical love story.

The first scene required me to fall into his arms and look into his eyes like I'm in love! I mean, here is a guy you don't even know, and you have to act like he's the center of your world! So many problems I had.
First thing, it's plain embarrassing.
Second, you have to do it with more than a dozen pairs of eyes watching you!
If it were in a room with only the two of you, it is somewhat fine. But otherwise it requires a lot of effort to ignore the people around you, get the feelings of each scene right and finally, have the confidence to do it in front of a group of people.
Now I know why, in movies, they prefer less people to shoot with in intimate scenes. Or why co-stars are linked. To make it look real, you have to get comfortable with each other and if you get comfortable, it would look real! So, you have your catch-22 situation right there. :)

It's been good so far. I'm doing it to explore my limits. To see what I can and can't do. And how much I like what I do.
More later!

Love and all that.

Ok about my last post,NOT EVERYTHING I WROTE HAPPENED TO ME!Read properly guys. It's what happened AROUND ME.
I know it was absolutely disgusting, but not all my posts are gonna be that way.Hopefully;)

Anyhow,I was thinking.Yeah,I do that now and then. So,yeah,I was thinking about things in the past, the present and future AND also about some other random stuff.
It's fascinating how you get into a whole new world of your own when you start thinking, right?I mean, you start off with something small like, for example, what you've just had for lunch...you think,it could have been made better..Then probably, you think about this hotel where it is made better..The last time you went there was with this guy who didn't have anything on him and you had to pay the bill..Speaking of bills..blah blah...you get the point right?
So yeah,One thing lead to another and it got me thinking about love.

What the hell is "love"?Please, please define it for me.
Seriously.I mean here you think you've found your soulmate and you'll live happily ever after from now on only to find that the "love" is fading away..Going,going and gone! You break-up.
Love lasts forever.Or so they say.I say,Nothing lasts forever. Not even love.Especially,Not love.Is that what you think too?
Or is it just me?Thinking too much.Expecting too much??Maybe.

Anyway,I asked one of my friends who's been with this guy for around 3 years now.I asked her,"Don't you ever get bored of him?"
And she ,appearing a little taken aback and offended I suppose, replied,"The more time I spend with him, the more I seem to love him.I know that this is the guy I want to be with for the rest of my life.I'll do anything for him-even go against my parents' wishes to be with him".Sweet..Good luck to her.

I haven't found a guy who I feel that much for.U know, who means so much to me that I'd rather live with him than my parents.I mean,I know a lot of guys. And not just their names,I know them pretty well.
But I haven't found anyone who I can look at doe-eyed and think,"Yes!This is the guy I want to be with and nobody else".

After all there are so many fishes in the sea.Why settle for one?;):D
Scary thoughts coming from a girl eh?I've been told this is how most guys think.Maybe I wasn't meant to be born a girl.
Speaking of which my thoughts drift away to this serial called "Bhaskar Bharti" on Sony.(Mon-fri 9 pm.)It's about this guy who overnight turns into a girl..Sounds interesting?I know.I was expecting a lot from the serial when the promos were on air.Now after about a month,I'm bored. It's starting to become just another serial.

See?This is what I'm talking about, after a point, everything seems boring. And now I shall stop boring you and come back later.
Till then.Keep waiting.Or not.
